My favorite cookie ever is white chocolate macadamia nut. Salty, sweet, buttery. It's a good one. And truth be told I really wanted to make a batch. I even gathered the ingredients. BUT what happens when I want to innocently bake 3 dozen cookies? I end up eating at least a dozen. Not good.
So instead I make oatmeal:
Cook the oatmeal and milk on the stove until it comes to a slight boil. Add vanilla, brown sugar and half of the toppings. Stir for about two minutes. Take off heat before it gets too thick. I like my oatmeal creamy. Top with remaining nuts, white chocolate and cranberries.

Ooh–this looks amazing! I’m going to have to switch back to oatmeal for breakfast now that fall’s coming.
Once again… I love reading your posts! I feel like such a nerd for saying this but.. I wish we lived close and knew each other in person, I think we would have a great time working toward our goals together and sharing new recipes. I could learn a lot from your local and organic way of eating. Keep the posts coming!
I just wanted to tell you that I ate that bacon, tomato, fresh mozzerella, sandwich (minus the mayo because I don’t like mayo)you posted EVERY DAY last week! It was so good! Best BLT ever.
Now I’m going to have to try this oatmeal! Thanks for sharing you delicious, healthy eats!
That looks so good, totally jealous of your awesome breakfast
Good idea!
I don’t even like oatmeal but I want to eat a big bowl of that! Yum.
And nice header! (Although I always loved the cupcake/carrot.)
I have never seen oatmeal (we call it ‘poridge’ here in NZ) look quite so delicious. I may have to copy you
That should be ‘porridge’ not ‘poridge’
