Right quick

I'm here! Sorta. I'm taking a small break this week from blogging to get caught up on some pending tasks.
Making jewelry, cleaning/organizing the house, working on freelance stuff, oh and (hopefully, fingers crossed!) moving into our first home!

As far as weight loss, food, exercise: every thing's fine. I haven't had much of an appetite this week so meals have been pretty sparse. As in oatmeal for breakfast and then some sort of dinner. Which to me isn't very blog worthy. Except for the loaded oatmeal that leaves me full for hours. I love that.

Exercise has been hit or miss. What does that even mean? I don't know :) I've been using my GoWear Fit daily. On days that I am very sedentary I burn a little over 2,000 calories, on days when I clean, but don't partake in formal exercise I burn about 2,500, and on days when I do exercise I get well over 3,000 calories. Which is my daily goal: over 3,000. Which probably sounds like a lot, but I'm fat.

Thank you for all of your kind words about my necklaces in the last post. Making jewelry is something I randomly started doing this past fall and it's been a full-on obsession ever since. I'm still nervous about moving into the world of metalsmithing, but it's coming! In the mean-time, after the open house this weekend I'm going to start selling online in between craft shows.

I'll be back tomorrow, see you then!

Hmm, I’d be really interested to see how many calories I burn on a normal day, with and without exercise. I’m dying to have one of those GoWear things (or something similar)!

Sometimes a break from blogging is nice. There is a life away from the internet, haha :D

Good luck on the house. I know how stressful it can be. Do you track what you eat still? Haven’t seen you post that in a while. Been wearing my go wear fit too. I am still amazed at how well it can tell what your doing. I hope you keep the focus still. Its stressful times that we either eat too much, or not enough. Either one can hurt.

I ordered my GoWear Fit today. I can’t wait for it to get here! Should be interesting to see how much I am burning. Good luck with your move!

I have never heard of a GoWear fit. I am going to have to look into it. I am embarking on a weight loss journey as well. I am actually enjoying it for the first time ever.

I cannot believe you even posted a note given YOU’RE MOVING! On top of that you’re making jewelry and posting freelance. Good grief…I feel lazy. :)

    Good Luck with the Move!

Yeah, I’m still trying to get a hold of this blogging thing myself. Writing everyday is therapeutic for me, and I’ve only been doing it for a bit now, but man, how it helps. How it makes you accountable. Great reading your stuff…very inspirational and I know you’ll reach your ultimate goal one day, as I will. Hopefully, you’ll get the house, which will only boost your attitude!

  8. From what I’ve seen of the jewelery you haven’t got much to be nervous about. You’ll do well at it.

    Hi Lorrie,
I just found your blog and am so impressed with your ability to put yourself out there publically regarding your struggle with weight. I recently lost 50 pounds and got this crazy idea that the way I would motivate to keep the weight off would be to write a blog about healthy cooking (a personal passion for me).

I was wondering if you could share with me your thoughts about what level of honesty about these issues the public is comfortable with. I tend to give too much information and I don’t want to be known as a crazy person!

    Thanks in advance!
    Wendy

I just started reading your blog today, and it resonated with me so much! I have recently started a weight loss regimen and have lost about 8 pounds. While I am proud of what I have accomplished so far, I get nervous that I’ll slide back into those bad habits (such as secret eating) that got me to where I am now. Your blog has really inspired me that I can do it, especially when you relate all of your challenges and weak moments. Thank you for that! And good luck on reaching your goal–I know that you’ll be successful.

This is specifically answering Wendy’s question… I would say that the more honest you are… the more it will help you to write about it. I don’t think that there is any sense in writing something if it is not true. You are not a freak or a crazy person. Most people that are reading weight loss blogs have had these issues… so don’t feel like the lone ranger. Rob

Hi there, I just found your blog through google and was readying a few posts back. Glad I found you!

Everyone needs a week off sometimes to sit and do nothing. I can’t wait to hear what you think about the Gowear Fit, I’ve been looking them up online and reading reviews but still can’t justify the expense yet!
