Roni wrote very good post yesterday about her motivation and happiness. Very good, please read.
"I get asked a lot about motivation and I answered it a few times but I think I finally nailed it. I find motivation from living the best life I can live, irregardless of my size. I want to feel good about the choices I make. I want the toddler to be proud of his Mom. I want to show people it is possible! I only have one life to live and I spent too many years feeling sorry for myself. I’m not about to do it again just because I’m a little stressed. Life is stressful. It always has been and it always will be. Finding comfort in food has NEVER helped. If anything it just makes me feel worse."

Happy Friday! I am SOOOO inspired by you! I wanted to share a few affirmations that have made such a difference for me and keeping my weight under control. Here is my favorite…..”Nothing tastes as good as thin feels”! When I look at something that normally I would just pop in my mouth without a thought, I visualize my affirmation and it usually works! I also figured out for me, I have to stay busy doing something I really love doing. “Happiness is, he/she who works and plays and knows not the difference”! I choose to be happy everyday, and make Great food choices. I figured out my weight gain isn’t controlled in mouth mouth, but it’s my brain! I know you will reach your goal and I wanted you to know you have a cheerleader in South Carolina that supports you 1000%!!!!!
Blessings,
Susan Walsh
Profound words. Life will always be stressful, I agree. It’s the way we deal with the stress that decides who we are.

Dont give up hope. I always need motivation too but also have to make sure I dont get overwhelmed. I just read a great book called The Power of Small. After flipping through I’ve learned to take my diet a step at a time- I dont think about how much weight I want to lose but dcide to eat each meal well. I pause before going into the kitchen and really think about it.
