I decided to jump on the lent bandwagon with my girls Fatbridesmaid and Question for Dessert. I've thought hard about what I would like to sacrifice/accomplish in the next 40 days. I'm not a religious person, which isn't necessary to mention, but I like challenging myself to try something different, to be better.
Instead of announcing my Lent goal, I thought I would let my recorded actions here on the blog do the talking for me and let you guys figure out what my goal is/was. Starting today for the next 40 days I'm going to do one thing everyday that will help me achieve my weight loss goals, for every correct answer left in the comments on any day during Lent will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Amazon Gift Card (funded by me, not Amazon) and a gift package of local foods/products from my current hometown Floyd, Virginia (USA-only entries please).
Hint: My Lent goal will not be overly obvious.

Cool. Today id say the thing you did was make yourself accountable through this contest. That’s a good first step, blogging can be so good for ingraining healthy habits.
My guess: get enough sleep!
RG: haha I think it would be hard to blog about sleeping
I am not religious either but I do try to give up something every year just because…this year is fast food and sweets.
I feel like I’m working a logic puzzle… Like I’ll magically have the answer if I rearrange the letters in “not be overly obvious.” I just really want to win food from Floyd!!
I miss you girl!
(Hey! My butt’s on you!)
I know I need to give up the one thing I don’t want to – coffee!!! It’s affecting my sleep patterns so a change is needed.
I’m new to reading your blog (very entertaining & educational). I noticed that in your last blog you mentioned your GoWear Fit and how you were going to post a Q&A about it. I just ordered mine and should get it next Monday! I’m so excited!!!
The biggest question I have is does it tell you when you’re eating too low & burning too much to lose weight? I’ve hit a block on my weight loss journey, and I’m thinking that may be my issue at the moment.
Thanks for blogging! – Erin
This sounds fun! I will def be back to enter/try to figure out the puzzle so-to-speak good luck with everything! XOXO MOLLY MARIE
Whether you’re religious or not, it’s always good to set goals, and this is a good one. Plus, you’re giving incentive to all of your readers as well, so it’s a win-win situation! Looking forward to figuring out your clues! Here’s to the next 40 days and beyond!
I’m neither religious nor Catholic. Can you believe that I actually used to envy people Lent? They had a strong motivation to implement a positive change in their lives. Looks like you have found a way to make it work for you.
What a great idea! Looking forward to guessing your goal.
I’m looking forward to this. Good luck with whatever your goal is. This is going to be fun!
Drink boatloads of water…..
I’m guessing that your goal is to blog every day.
I’ll be cheering you on and checking in with you regularly. Can’t wait to ‘see’ you forty days from now.
This is obvious, but I’m guessing you will try to get more exercise.
How fun! I can’t wait to give my guess!
Lol! This is actually a very cool giveaway/challenege. My guess is that you’re going to do one form of exercise everyday
But we’ll see what happens! Good luck on your 40 Day Challange
My guess is that your Lenten promise is to send me a prize package of food from Floyd.
