I don't know where to start with this, I really wanted to like this game. We purchased Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 on Sunday evening at game stop after contemplating it for a couple of weeks. It was $50 and we thought it would be cool to have another game to use with our wii fit board.
I like the Biggest Loser and I like Jillian Michaels, but I wish I would have read the amazon reviews before buying it. It reminds me of a game made by college students who are still figuring out the complexities of a modern gaming system.
Its almost amusing how bad this game is, the response time is very slow. The graphics reminded me of my early days of playing sonic the hedgehog and the fitness/nutrition tips are ridiculously obvious.
We started doing the tire walking course and couldn't get our digital person to move with all the work in the world. So in that, it was a workout. And even funnier when Jullian says "that's it! keep it up! you've got to commit" over and over in a loop when you're not even moving. So I did 15 minutes of that yesterday and it said I burned 153 calories, Josh did 15 minutes and burned 43 calories.

Your review of this game is exactly what I saw online. I was looking forward to it coming out and being able to use another game with the Wii Fit Board. Disappointing!
I did however recently purchase the Wii game My Fitness Coach. I really enjoy it. The workouts are great and I feel that they give you good instructions to follow along. The trainer (Maya) even asks how you are doing as you go along. You select an answer and she says that she will increase the intensity next workout. Pretty cool.
Hope this review helps anyone thinking of getting a workout game.

I’m with you on this game too – I was so excited to get it, but then disappointed when I saw what it actually did (or didn’t do?)
I kept playing with the main menu hoping that there were other game features that I had been missing the first few times. Yep, nothing.
When is Billy Blanks coming out with his Wii game though?!!? That’d be a GREAT one!!!
I agree with TJ. My Fitness Coach rocks for the Wii. You can use the Fit board as a step board and incorporate it into your workouts.
Well worth its money!
I got Mario Cart for the Wii but haven’t gone down the fitness game route just yet.
I just bought this Jullian Michaels game i also can’t get my Mii to move through the tires. Please let me knwo if you ever figure it out! Thanks.
I can’t get the tires, the kayaking, or the running to work correctly. I feel I threw $30 bucks out the window. The first time I went walking I thought the shadows of the trees were oil slicks because it would not move. It is ridiculous. I just went to the Jullian Michaels website to “contact us”
and of course that doesn’t work either. How can someone so famous endorse such a poor product?
I’ve heard other reviews like yours on this one… don’t think I’ll be getting it. Surprised she allowed it with her name if it’s that bad!
