| I think the meetings are great. They really keep me focused. I find that if I don't go to the meetings that I start to stray from my goals. I think support is vital in choosing a healthy lifestyle. |

I have never tried the meetings. The price puts me off. With 2 young kids and limited income I canīt justify the cost plus the childcare each week.
I try and follow at home, but agree you are more likely to cheat without the support. |

Iīm with you on that one. We have a limited income at the moment, and I keep on looking at the ads, but even though I know I need to do it, I canīt justify going there to my husband. He says save more money, just eat less! |

I tried the At Home stuff and they sent me cards to send off. One week I lied about my weight loss anyway, and although I felt bad, how are they to know!
I think the meetings are probably better if you can get to them. You canīt hide from the group leader. |

| biggirl - That's a great point. I have never done Weight Watchers but I think the meetings are maybe the best reason to do it. Those of us with eating problems and weight problems have a habit of deceiving others and ourselves about what we eat and how much we weight. The great thing about the meetings is that it would force you to be truthful to yourself (Most important is to be honest with yourself about where you are.) |

I follow the calorie counting option, but my mum makes me have a weigh in with her once a week too. Some weeks I dread it, but at the end of the day, it does help keep me on track so I can see the point of the meetings.
So right that you canīt hide from yourself. |

I have invested in the electronic points tracker instead and it is helping me. It gives me a reason to really count up what Iīm eating and focussed me on what is going in..

| I couldn't afford to do the meetings so I just weighed myself on my own. I kind of liked it better that way because then I could choose when I weighed myself and I didn't have to do it in front of people. |
