I haven't forgotten!
Two pounds away from my monthly goal! I started at 290 on January 1st and now I'm back down to a more familiar weight pre-holiday 2009. I'm looking forward to a new weight for this blog in the spring. 250's will be new.
I cannot believe this month is already over! Where did it go? That's what you say when you get old "where did the time go?". I'm looking back on the past month and see changes that I put into action. One of them is going to the store alone and not buying "trigger" foods. Items that I tend to overeat or eat when no one is around. I've been here before, I've been to the store many times and sticking with what I needed and leaving. It became a habit, that I allowed. And it is a habit that can be undone. It is our choice.
Another thing that I will note is keeping a constant reminder of my goals handy. I bought a large moleskin with blank pages for writing in. On the first page you will find a list of my goals, on the following pages you will find to-do lists, weekly goals and little reminders. I found that working in this book daily reminded me of my goals instead of forgetting where I wanted to be.
I also realized that I needed to take personal responsibility for myself. It is so EASY to fall back, to sabotage, to forget and ignore my body. But, I found with gentle reminders I was able to stay on track most of the time. I confirmed that I will be healthy this year.
I want to do better in February. One with exercise and two with more planning and organization with my food. I am as anti-schedule as they get, but I found that having food ready to prepare, having the dishes cleaned helped me to stick with my cooking at home plans. I want to get better at that.
My goal for March 1st is 270.

Remember the jewelry I showed you last week? Well, I finally got around to taking photographs and posting them in my shop!
You can find my jewelry here.

10 pounds in a month is great! I’m really impressed by the quality of your jewelry. I wish I had some sort of artistic talent that I could sell (who couldn’t use the money?).
Those are some sexy socks! Congrats on the scale! Maybe if you had the socks off it would have been 279.9! Oh well more to look forward to next weigh in. Congrats on the -10 for the month. I agree, where did the month go? My 1 month is coming up on February 4th! Time flew by. But as we get older it does that. The jewerly is great and I wish you success with it.
Tom

Congrats on the loss this month!! Ten pounds a month is all it takes to make a BIG difference! You’ve got this.
Woooooooohoooooo, girl! YES! This is my favorite post, ever. You sound STRONG. 10 pounds lost…that is amazing!!!!!! And I knew you could do it! owning your prior mistakes of shopping alone and the binge eating is the first step. You will be successful. Ok…and..the jewelry is gorgeous, gorgeous, I absolutely love all the designs and..my faves are the leaf earrings…extremely beautiful, “vintagey” and unique! I’m so happy for you and I don’t even know you! Best of luck to you, you impress me so much! Big hugs and love to you girl
oh and…the photography for the jewelry is beautiful!
Love the jewelry and LOVE YOU! Congrats on the big loss this month gurl! I’m so proud of you!
Congrats on the loss! I just started a program myself. Everything is going well so far, but I’m nervous about what the scale will say at the end of the month. But I’m happy to know that there are other bloggers attempting to do the same thing with successful results
BTW, love the pictures of your jewelry!
Awesome job on the weight loss and the jewelry!
CONGRATS!!! That’s such an awesome weight loss! And the jewelry is beautiful!!
You are right. We can choose. Accountability and Responsibility are key. Nobody will lose the weight for us. I am finding that journaling my food, emotions, exercise, meal planning, monthly and weekly goals really helps me keep on track too. Sometimes I am better at it sometimes not so much. I am learning just to get back at it. Life is not always back and white. Just keep going, right
Cheers
Betty
PS
I love your jewelry. Beautiful.
That is awesome! way to make a goal and meet it (you are so close that you made it in my eyes)
I need to get back at it, myself. My goal is to get back to 190 by the end of Feb, somehow over the holidays I let myself creep up to 200 again (sigh)
Congrats on your weight loss! That’s awesome!
I’d agree totally with writing things down to get more done. I’ve always been putting it off but not this year. I’ve found using a diary and writing down my daily actions allows me to see how much I’ve really done that and where I’m succeeding and where I’ve been kidding myself.
Wow 10 lbs in a month! Congrats.
Wow-congrats on the weight loss. 10 lbs in a month is fantastic. Your jewelery is gorgeous. I’m loving looking at all of the pieces in your online shop. GORGEOUS!
Way to go on the weight loss! And your jewelry is stunning.
Great post, and inspiring for lots of people to see. I have found working with lot’s of people over the years you must write down exactly what you want and be specific about it. The more specific the better i say!
It’s a great reminder for what you want to achieve along with scaling how far you have come.
Good Job,
Richard : )
That is great results!!!!! Way to go and I love love love the new jewelry!!
All pieces are lovely. This is a post full of great news, love it
Congrats on the weight loss! I’ve just started doing the whole weight loss thing but writing down goals has been one thing that I’ve really enjoyed so that sounds like a great idea. Good luck and I’ll be checking in often!
Way to go! Great loss.
Also, I love the jewelry–especially the last pair of earrings pictured. I was so ready to buy them until someone beat me to it!
Congrats
I’d lose the socks and pants at next months weigh-in. I weigh at least 1 lb more with my clothes on!
Awesome - very nicely done!
Hey! Congrats on your weight loss! Your jewelry is also very pretty, I might have to stop by your etsy store.
Very cool, losing ten pounds in a month! That’s a fairly reasonable number, not losing too much too quickly. I just lost four pounds over the last two weeks and just keep thinking how much that is over a full year. Keep up the great job! Very inspirational.
Token Fat Girl - I just found your website, and I think what you’re doing is great. It seems like you are making real progress by doing smart things! Plus, I love the jewelry!
Thanks for the inspiration!
10 lbs is awesome!! BIG CONGRATS!
I found ur blog a few months ago while looking for weight loss blogs like mine. You’ve been in my Google Reader for some time now!
Keep up the hard work! It is HARD but I know YOU can do it! I’ve lost 95lbs on my own over the last 6.5 months, so I am living proof!
Awesome job losing that much weight! Keep up all the hard work your doing just great.
Congrats on your loss! Also, love the earrings in the last pic (spoon vines?), but couldnt find them on etsy…do you still have them? Can you send me details if so?
Ooooohhh you can do it!!! My goal for March 1st is 237. 247 right now. Go for it!!
Wow, you’re doing great! Congrats on the big loss
I love the jewelry, btw!
Very nice, that’s what I did the past month (10 pounds).
Keep it going girl.
Hello! I just started in weight loss too and we are in about the same place. I wish us both well!
I think your blog is really cute btw.
Great Job!! Hopefully, seeing the numbers is helping you to stay motivated!
I wound up on your page today while looking for some safe, fast natural weight loss ideas (cause the exercise alone isn’t helping me, or I just might not be doing enough of it… *sweatdrop*), anyways, I read your first entry and I was like 10 lbs?! In one month?!?!
Then I just kinda sat at the computer for a minute rethinking about how I’ve been kinda slacking and not pushing myself to reach my weight loss goal.
And you know what?
I felt that fire again. That reignited thing that’s inside me and forces my brain to tell itself “Screw this. You can do it. You can do anything if you try.”
and you just gave me my goal for Feb! I’m gonna try for 10 too!
It’s all about the will power. You gotta want it!
good job!
Just starting reading your blog. Thought I would just leave you a note. Keep going!
good for you for turning a lousy situation into a fabulous one!! i have to say, I am coveting that device!
but not as much as those earrings - wow!! you are talented!
xo
Congrats on the 10lbs off. I have been where you were and where you are and I applaud you for that 10lbs in a month. I am currenty where you want to be (250) and I know you will get there.
You are doing awesome! And you and I are neck and neck!
I started January at 291 and last week’s weigh in was 282…weigh in again tomorrow…hope I’m at 280 or less. My March goal is the same as yours…270. We ARE doing this! Way to go!
10 pounds in one month is a great success! I’m glad your hard work has paid off. I’m happy to read you are setting good goals on a month by month basis. Good for you for setting short, achievable goals-I know how motivating it is to get on the scale and have it read lower numbers.
Love the jewelry.. really beautiful..
Beautiful jewelery, seems like you’ve got some real talent there!
