We've made it to week four of our 5k training and thought I'd document the walk with photos:

congrats on actually doing it. it’ll feel so good to accomplish it! plus the added bonus of feel-good exercise.
It looks like you have a beautiful little road to train on! I love Virginia
Your walk looks a lot like my walks. Cows and farms. Taking pictures seems like a good idea too! Great job on the walks!
Beautiful views, good luck with the training.
And that is why I need to move out of the desert. If I had such a wonderful place to go walking I would be out there everyday!
That is awesome. I would love to be walking outdoors…it is just TOO hot here.
I encourage everyone to sign up in support of President Obama’s health care reform: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/organizingforhealthcarevid?source=20090721_ms_fwd
This is the time. We have to stand up and say no more lies from the private health insurance industry and their mouthpieces (much of the media and all of the Republican party.) It’s time for real health care reform (that includes the public option.)
The US has the worst health care system of any Western country yet we pay more per person than any other country in the world. There’s something seriously wrong with that.
I want to run on that road. Doesn’t it feel great to move among the trees and grass.
I think it is so amazing that you are training for a 5k. It really is inspiring. I just started running and I’m struggling. It is really hard when you just get started and it is so important to continually push yourself past the false barriers that your mind creates. You have inspired me…I’m going for a run again tonight. Thank you!
Gorgeous place to train for a 5k. Sadly I have to suck in as I run down the street as there are people everywhere!
Those pictures are awesome!!!! Good luck! I was thinking of signing up for a 5K in the fall, I thought it might be good motivation!
Gorgeous scenery!!! And good for you for doing this! My elliptical broke last night and I have to go out for a run tonight. you’ve just inspired me to do so!!!
WOW! Love the pics… great view!
Great pictures! Love those mountain views. You rock walking on that mountainous trek.
Frog is cut too! Thanks Johnny for the web link!
Love the pics! Looks like a beautiful place to run!!
Ah… I imagine myself there w/ my music in my ears and taking all that chlorophyl in…. Floyd is such a beautiful place.
Well done for your 5k, that is really amazing and impressive. I hope it goes well. P.s. saw your wedding photos you look really well and happy.
I don’t know where you are- but it looks alot like where I grew up. I’d love to walk there again. It would be alot more soul satisfying than where I am now!
These pictures are beautiful! I love walking outside more than on a treadmill. Why does exercising have to be boring!? Walking with nature is the way to go!
Have you tired Jillian Michaels new Slimdown workout videos? Theyre available for free at: http://www.clearspring.com/widgets/4a6f4a5eb15c66c6?p=-&flv=cat%3d
Theyre all between 2 and 5 minutes, so I do one video 3 times a day and so far 5lbs lost in a lil over a week…any thoughts on it?
Girl, just the thought of walking to prepare for a 5k is exhausting thinking about it so indeed I applaud you. Kudos !! I have been dieting since become an adult and I tell you I was doing good losing 75lbs and keeping it off for 4 years. Then my little brother died in April of 2009. I fell off the wagon, and just a week ago I decided to get back on realizing that he would want me to live and move on I started a blog to help me with my recovery so for anyone that knows my struggle I wanted to email and encourage and offer my blogspot so that if they would like they could walk with me because I can use all the encouragement I can get. It is not easy starting over.
